The Irish Red & White Setter Club held their spring novice trial at Kilakee on the Dublin Mountains today,
Saturday 12th February 2022. This was a well supported trial with a full card of 30 dogs having entered
but due to various reasons we had some late withdrawals and 24 dogs went to the hill. Judges for the day
were Mr Billy Grace and Mr Dessie Linton. Whilst the rain held off for most of the day, conditions were very tough
on young dogs with a gale force wind blowing all day. Birds were very jumpy but at the end of the day the judges
confirmed the following awards; 1st Excellent: Maodhog Stoirm IRSB handled by Colin Forde
2nd Excellent: Lissadobber Toby ESD handled by Eoghain Marshall
